Cookie Jar

“….I want to be faithful but I can’t keep my hands off the cookie jar…my hands…my hands…my hands off the cookie jar.🎶🎶” okay scratch that, PG 18. Let us try this one instead;

“Who took the cookie from the cookie jar? Eva took the cookie from the cookie jar. Who me? Yes you…..🎶🎶”

They are addictive. You hide them, they find them. We pretend when we hoard them like our faces ain’t covered in chocolate. I got a sweet tooth that never comes loose and the fact of the matter is…let’s dive into the yumminess of chocolate chip cookies. Shall we?

COMPONENTS

  • 1/2 cup prestige margarine or butter
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (later realized you don’t need it since why be my cookies throwing shade? Don’t be salty)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

PREPARATION

  • In a mixing bowl, add the margarine/butter, white and brown sugar and beat until creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla. Combine the mixture.
  • Bring onboard the dry ingredients which are flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt (optional) and mix.
  • Add chocolate chips. When making other varieties of cookies, it is at this juncture you add your poison. Nuts, weed (shh shh👀), shredded coconut etcetera.
  • Scoop out your mixture using a spoon or an icecream scoop spoon and shape into balls using your hands.
  • Lay the balls into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • You can go ahead and top up your poisons to make the cookies more colorful.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Make sure your oven is preheated for 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • Bake the cookies at 150-180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Serve with your favourite drink.
  • Have fun and enjoy.
